SWAG THEATER COMPANY PRESENTS SING! songs of protest and redemption a community sing-along event
SWAG (Suburban West Actors Guild) continues its 2016-2017 community event series with SING! Although initially conceived as a pop up chorus, in light of recent events, this first event for SING! will be a community sing along featuring songs of protest and redemption ranging from folk to pop, reggae to rap.
Thirty percent of the proceeds will be going to SUBURBAN UNITY ALLIANCE (SUA). SUA is a charity based in the near West Suburbs and was created in the summer of 2016 to showcase the diversity of suburban communities, raise discrimination awareness and bring entire communities together based on empathy, collaboration, and bring equitable philanthropic endeavors.
About the community event series: The community event series is an eclectic group of interactive and engaging events that is sure to have something for everyone. The goal is to produce quality entertainment and give our diverse communities a chance to come together and let them celebrate and create art in an inclusive environment.
