The Outta Space hosts this up-close-and-personal event with the internationally-known comic strip creator who's work has appeared in newspapers, books, magazines, journals and blogs around the globe. Some of his comics include, What the L?! (wtlcomic.com), ROKetship (roketship.com), Sales Fails and The Daily Grind.

Martin will be teaching the basics of cartooning and humor writing. He will touch on tools, character development, how to be funny, choosing a format and, if there is interest, discuss technology and/or the business side to promotion and distribution.

You'll leave with the basic ability to craft a cartoon, make someone laugh and the confidence to pull it off. Cost of workshop is $20
